What We Do – Liz Foundation Indonesia

What We Do

We work at the intersection of ecology, community, and culture — with women, children, seeds, and forests at the heart of everything we do.

Our programs are designed to respond to real needs in Flores, while nurturing long-term solutions rooted in tradition and collective care.

Women’s Empowerment

Women cooking or weaving together

We offer skills training, leadership workshops, and support women in creating income through traditional food, crafts, and herbal products.

Seed Protection & Local Food

Hands holding colorful local seeds

We collect, document, and replant traditional seeds with elder women — preserving biodiversity and food sovereignty across Flores.

Children’s Learning & Safe Spaces

Children playing outdoors or drawing in a circle

We create nature-based activities and safe spaces where children can learn, play, and grow with love and cultural pride.

Forests, Water & Sacred Trees

Tree planting or sacred forest in Flores

We organize tree-planting, water protection campaigns, and agroforestry training to protect the ecological roots of our communities.

Culture & Community Healing

Women or youth performing dance or ritual

We revive ancestral songs, stories, rituals and collective gatherings to reconnect communities with identity, healing, and dignity.

Local & Global Solidarity

Group meeting or online call with partners

We build networks with schools, elders, youth, NGOs, and international allies — sharing knowledge, seeds, and strength.
